I grew up in a suburb in Ventura County located in sunny Southern California. I attended California State University, Channel Islands where I received my undergraduate degree in biology. After performing marine biology research ranging from mussels to whales, I decided to pursue my lifelong calling of becoming a veterinarian. I worked at a local equine hospital and shadowed a small animal veterinarian prior to veterinary school, and then graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech (go Hokies)! I currently have a 3-year old spicy cat named Marie whose name came from the old Disney film, The Aristocats. Being the son of an immigrant, I enjoy exploring different cultures through the one thing everyone loves in my free time, food!
I was drawn to Friendship after hearing about their highly esteemed internship program and how they take care of their staff. Not only do they ensure the well-being of their staff, but also that of their community. Community service and giving back is important to me, so I am elated to have found a hospital who shares the same ideals as I do.
