I grew up in both Illinois and Connecticut and have always had a love for animals with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. Growing up, I spent my time volunteering at animal shelters, volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding center, and shadowing veterinarians at local small animal and exotic animal hospitals. I then completed my undergraduate education at Colgate University, where I received my bachelors degree in Cellular Neuroscience, and completed veterinary school at Cornell University. During my clinical year of vet school, I developed a further passion for neurology and an interest in anesthesia, both of which I hope to explore more during my internship! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring the D.C. area!
I am so excited to be a part of the Friendship family! When applying for the match, I immediately gravitated towards FHA due to the emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and communication. I also had the opportunity to work with and hear from previous interns about their experiences at FHA and how they felt that it was a supportive environment that values continued education.
