Originally from Baltimore, Dr. Citron attended The University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school where she discovered her love for dermatology while researching German Shepherds with perianal fistulas. After graduating, she completed a rotating internship at Friendship followed by a dermatology internship at Pittsburgh Veterinary Dermatology, and then returned to Penn Vet to complete a residency in Dermatology and Allergy in 2024.
Within dermatology, Dr. Citron has a special passion for the treatment of chronic otitis externa. She also enjoys treating auto-immune skin diseases and performing CO2 laser alternative surgical procedures.
Other than treating skin, Dr. Citron enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, and beloved chihuahua-child, Annabelle, as well as her two cats, and golden retriever, Winnie. She likes to play pickleball and tennis, watch murder mysteries, and cook and eat spicy vegetarian food.
