I grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, where I discovered my passion for animals while working at a general practice hospital. While completing my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I also pursued my veterinary technician degree at Cape Fear
Community College. I then completed a rotating veterinary technician internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, where I subsequently accepted a position in the surgery department. A few years later, I chose to pursue my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, followed by my clinical year at the University of Florida.
In my free time, I enjoy running, biking, and exploring new places with friends and family.
